Kim Kardashian Threatened With a New Sex Tape Release, And She Is Ready to Take That Person Down
Kim Kardashian has been threatened with the release of unseen footage from her original sex tape.
Kim Kardashian has been working hard and affected real positive change in the world. She has built several different buisnesses, worked (and is still working) to become a lawyer, fought for justice, and is raising a beautiful family. While her past was certainly not free from scandal, she, much like her business, has worked hard to accept what is already done and rebrand herself from there.
However, her past is once again threatening to return. According to an article on People, the debut episode of the new Hulu series The Kardashians is keeping in tradition with Keeping Up With the Kardashians.in at least one way: One of the first things discussed is Kim's sex tape.
Now, many years down the line from an occurance the celebrity was certain was behind her, there is talk of new footage coming to light.
Her son Saint West was playing on his iPad when Kim noticed something strange.
"There was a picture of my cry-face...and then I looked at it and it said something super inappropriate like 'Kim's new sex tape.'"
The threat says it contains unreleased footage from the original tape. The mother of four exclaimed:
"The last thing that I want as a mom is for my past to be brought up 20 years later, especially when it's this big party and my whole family is here. This is some real embarrassing s--- and I need to deal with it. I will deal with it. I just cannot believe this is happening right now."
The Kim Kardashian sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J is one of the things that shoved the Kardashian family into the limelight; the place where they have remained, rebranded, and successfully cultivated a following of millions. In reflecting on the tape, Kim had a mid-way realization:
"For 20 years, this has been held over my head, of this mistake...or is it a mistake?
"It was my boyfriend of years. We go on a trip, we film a video. It's embarrassing for that to be out there but it's not the most scandalous thing and I'm not going to be made to feel that way. I'm just human."
While she was raked across the tabloidian coals for years over the tape, growth, maturity, and reflection have revealed to her something the rest of us are usually enough to learn from the comfort fo our own homes: We are only human.
While we hope that the drama does not resurface (as is unlikely, since Kim has shared that she is, "99.9%" sure that there is no unseen footage) we as a world know we would not treat Kim the same way she was treated the first time such footage was released. (Well, some people might. But not the decent majority.)
And anyone who does better watch out for her lawyers.
