The defamation trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is heating up.

Eve Barlow, a friend of the blonde actress, was recently reportedly tossed out of court.

The British journalist, who formerly contributed to New York Magazine, was thrown out of the trial after she was seen tweeting and texting during the proceedings.

According to Page Six, Barlow is "joined at the hip" with the "London Fields" actress and is believed to have regularly overstepped bounds and carried herself as if she is part of Heard's team - rather than simply a buddy.

"Amber had her closest journalist buddy sit front and center - with her legal team - at the trial, live-tweeting, texting, and publishing material," a source told the outlet.

When Depp's team learned how Barlow was portraying the situation, they apparently had had enough.

Furthermore, the journalist allegedly attempted to intervene in the trial itself previously by attempting to have one of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" stars' witnesses excluded.

According to the publication, Barlow even instructed one of Heard's lawyers to inform Judge Penney S. Azcarate that Gina Dueters was "compromised."

Dueters, who is married to one of Depp's long-term staffers, was later barred from testifying.

Eve Barlow's legal team eventually sought that the veteran actor be removed from the trial for flagrantly violating court regulations.

Fortunately, the judge found in favor of Depp's team and agreed, stating that texting and tweeting were "against the court order" and that Barlow would not be returning to the courtroom for the balance of the trial.

Why Is Johnny Depp Suing Amber Heard?

Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard in 2019 after she penned an essay for The Washington Post claiming herself a victim of domestic abuse, with the stated inference that it was at the actor's hands.

Heard, on the other hand, is suing the "Edward Scissorhands" actor for $100 million because she failed to name her ex-husband in the infamous story.

Several claims and counter-claims of manipulation, domestic abuse, and drug and alcohol addiction are at the heart of the present lawsuits being litigated in a Virginia courtroom.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, who have only been married for three years, continue to put on a show even though they are only 15 feet apart - divided by their legal teams and, of course, their resentments for each other.
