Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Receive Ultimate Invite From the Queen After Megxit
Queen Elizabeth II recently asked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to undertake something that not everyone is permitted to do.
The queen asked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, according to The Telegraph.
If they accept the invitation, Prince Harry and Meghan will be on the customary balcony on June 2 to witness an RAF.
The invitation will also include a family function, such as a thanksgiving ceremony in St. Paul's Cathedral during the Jubilee.
Queen Elizabeth II will be celebrating her 70th year on the throne.
However, because they are not senior working royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not have an official involvement in the celebrations.
Olive branches appear to have been expanded recently on both sides, with the pair paying a covert visit to the queen and Prince Charles on their way to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games.
The decision represents the royals taking another step toward healing their friendship after the divisive couple left The Firm two years ago.
Since then, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spent the most of their time in California with their children, Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana, while some bombshell allegations made by the father of two are alleged to have prompted a schism between him and his brother, Prince William.
Is The Queen Able to Attend Her Platinum Jubilee Celebrations?
Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee festivities are just a few weeks away, but there is mounting suspicion that the 95-year-old monarch may be unable to attend some of the events.
Many people believe that her capacity to continue playing her part in her old age is improving in the run-up to the impending celebrations.
She will turn 96 on Thursday, and she has withdrawn from a number of engagements in recent weeks due to her increasing infirmity.
The queen, who has recently recovered from COVID, opted out of attending church services during Holy Week.
A Buckingham Palace source, however, stated on Sunday that Queen Elizabeth II's attendance at big events will not be confirmed until the day in question.
These will take place between June 2 and June 5.
It is also quite possible that she will be seen on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the rest of her family, as well as maybe Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
