Bethenny Frankel Talk Show: Skinnygirl Mogul Doesn't Feel Sorry for Teresa Giudice
Former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel has no sympathy for troubled reality star Teresa Giudice.
The Skinnygirl mogul shared her thoughts on The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and her husband Joe Giudice being indicted for fraud this week.
"My first thought today was, 'Oh, if they weren't on reality TV, none of this would probably ever be exposed.' And it's just funny how certain people are [like a] moth to a flame. It's almost like -- not that you want to get caught -- but people who love to be in the spotlight often have a lot of skeletons in their closet. It's just an interesting thing," Frankel said while promoting her talk show, Bethenny, at the TCA tour panel at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, July 31.
Teresa and Joe were charged in a 39-count indictment with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. The couple were accused of exaggerating their income while applying for loans before their TV show debuted in 2009 -- then hiding how well they were doing in a bankruptcy filing after their first season aired.

Frankel, who is in a bitter custody battle with Jason Hoppy over their 3-year-old daughter Bryn, did admit she felt sorry for Teresa's daughters.
"I feel badly for them because they have kids," she explained, "and their kids didn't sign up for this."
If convicted, the Giudices -- parents to Gia, 12, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 7, and Audriana, 3 -- could face more than 50 years in prison. The couple have a hearing set for Aug. 14.
Following her court appearance, Teresa broke her silence via Twitter on Wednesday.
"Thank you all so so much for your love and support. It means the world to me and my family," she wrote. "I wish I could hug you all right now."
