Johnny Depp's Horrifying Evidence of Abuse Presented to Court [REPORT]
Johnny Depp shared crucial evidence against Amber Heard on the second day of his attestation in the defamation trial.
Depp forced himself to recall the abuse incidents he went through during his marriage with Heard. The actor, who is suing Heard over her 2018 The Washington Post op-ed, said that his ex-wife had this "need for conflict and violence."
"It could begin with a slap. It could begin with a shove. It could begin with, you know, throwing a TV remote at my head. It could be throwing a glass of wine in my face. But all in all, it was just constant," he said, as quoted by Deadline.
Viewers heard and witnessed on Tuesday some of Depp's ace cards that helped him defend himself against Heard's counterattack. Throughout his statement, he shared the proof that his ex-wife attacked and abused him countless times, and his lawyers shared disturbing photos and audio exhibits to support his statement.
Johnny Depp Received No Support From Amber Heard While Trying To Get Sober
Depp accused Heard of undermining his desire to finally get sober. Instead, the actress herself also devoured drugs and drank heavily.
The "Fantastic Beasts" actor reportedly asked her to share sobriety with him, but she declined. Depp reportedly wanted her to support and help him get through this but offered nothing.
When the actor recalled those times, Heard looked like she was on the verge of tears.
His statement resonated with what he revealed on the first day he took on the stand, saying that Heard initiated fights after he consumed alcohol or drugs - which he only did to "numb" himself amid his emotional troubles.
"The characterization of my quote-unquote 'substance abuse' as described by Ms. Heard is grossly embellished and a lot of it is just plain false," Depp testified. "I think I was an easy target to hit because once you've trusted someone for a number of years and told them all the secrets of your life, that information can be used against you.
Johnny Depp "Bear Hug" Amber Heard To Stop Her From Hurting Him
Depp stood once in a while during his statement, and he even reenacted the time when he reportedly put his ex-wife in a bear hug to stop her from hitting him.
According to the actor, Heard struck him from behind in one of their arguments. What's worse is that, he also dealt with other issues when the actress sent him a photo of human feces on his side of their bed.
She once claimed that their two Yorkies did it, but Depp told the court that their dogs only weigh four pounds each. Thus, there is no way that it came from them.
Johnny Depp Recalls Incident in Australia That Severed His Finger
The actor also told the court about their infamous Australian fight. At that time, the actor was in the country to work on "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Heard reportedly jetted to Australia to confront him after her meeting with his lawyers. Depp then received the most brutal words, which caused him to "remove" himself from the situation. But even when he locked himself in a bathroom, the actress reportedly kept banging on the door as she wanted to start an altercation.
Depp reportedly came out of the bathroom and went to a bar to have the first taste of alcohol after being sober for months. Heard still followed him in the area and started throwing bottles at him. One bottle eventually severed his finger, with its bone sticking out.
His lawyers also showed pictures of the injury to the court.
