It's Bring Your Child To Work Day! Enstarz Wants To Celebrate With 8 Celebrities Who Starred With Their Real Life Children.
With the world opening up after a long two years of quarantine, working from home, Zoom calls, and remote learning, the time honored tradition of 'Bring Your Child to Work Day' is now back on the table!
We at Enstarz figured: What better way to celebrate this parent/child bonding experience than to list celebrities who have appeared on-screen with their kids? Here are our Top 8:
Tina Fey and Alice Richmond
Alice Richmond, daughter of Tina Fey and 30 Rock composer Jeff Richmond, appeared on the last episode of the popular series - as none other than Liz Lemon, in a childhood flashback. Rocking a pair of oversized glasses and a sarcastic smirk, Alice embodied her mother's on-screen persona to a T.
30 Rock is streaming now on Hulu, Netflix, and Peacock.
Martin and Charlie Sheen and Emilio Esevez
Taking on his father's stage name of Sheen (unlike his brother Emilio Estevez, who kept the family moniker) Charlie and his dad Martin have shared the screen since Charlie's childhood, when he was an extra in The Execution of Private Slovik at the age of nine. As Charlie's career began to flourish, Martin would eventually go on to play Charlie's dad in Oliver Stone's Wall Street, amongst others.
But what about Emilio? Not to worry - Martin has not only starred along his other son, but was simultaneously directed by Emilio in The Way (2010), which Estevez also wrote the screenplay for.
Wall Street is streaming on HBO Max, and The Way is available for rent through Amazon Prime Video.
Ben and Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara
Funny definitely runs in the Stiller family. Jerry Stiller and his wife Anne Meara became popular as the comedy duo Jerry and Meara throughout the 1960s. The comedy gene would inevitably pass down to their son Ben Stiller who has starred alongside his famous folks in his own films including Zoolander 1 and 2, where Jerry played Derek Zoolander's kooky manager. Before that he cast his mother in his 90s comedy drama Reality Bites, and later starred with Meara in Night at the Museum.
Zoolander is on Netflix. Zoolander 2 can be found on TBS. Reality Bites and Night at the Museum are available to rent on Amazon Prime Video.
Leslie Mann, Judd, Maude and Iris Apatow
Wife of comedy director Judd Apatow, Leslie Mann, has appeared in several of his film projects, including Knocked Up and its spinoff, This is 40. She passed on the acting bug to their adorable daughters Maude and Iris who have played recurring roles as Mann's on-screen kids. Known for their quick timing and cute mannerisms, it was only natural that the pair would play against their mom so perfectly.
Maude, now 24, has been making a name for herself in solo ventures including HBO's Euphoria and The King of Staten Island with Pete Davidson.
Knocked Up is streaming on Peacock; This is 40 can be found on Cinemax; The King of Staten Island is available to rent on Amazon Prime Video; and Euphoria Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on HBO Max.
Clint and Scott Eastwood
Following in his father's legendary footsteps and a near doppelganger for his dad, Scott Eastwood has not only starred with Clint in the films Gran Torino and Trouble with the Curve, but he was also directed by dear old dad as well.
Talk about having to do what your parents tell you to do.
Gran Torino can be found on HBO Max and Trouble with the Curve is available to rent through Amazon Prime Video.
Donald and Kiefer Sutherland
Talk about the apple not falling far from the tree: Father and son actors, Donald and Kiefer Sutherland have been making a name for themselves, separately, in Hollywood for years - but that never stopped them from sharing the screen together.
Kiefer's early role in his dad's film Max Dugan Returns sparked him to begin his career, and he later rejoined Donald in the nail-biting A Time to Kill (though they share no screen time) and the western Forsaken playing, you guessed it, father and son.
Max Dugan Returns and Forsaken are available to rent on Amazon Prime Video. A Time to Kill can be streamed on HBO Max.
Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus
Billy Ray Cyrus became a household name when his song "Achy Breaky Heart" hit the charts in 1992, becoming an earworm for the masses.
Then he moved onto acting. After starring on his own series Doc and appearing in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive, Billy Ray went on to co-star with his up-and-coming singer/actress daughter Miley on the Disney Channel's Hannah Montana, where they played father and daughter. Riding the wave of the show's popularity, Miley went on to become one of the biggest pop stars of her generation, while Billy Ray gained a boost to his career when he was featured on Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," putting the country star back on the charts once more.
Mulholland Drive is available to rent on Amazon Prime Video, and Hannah Montana is streaming now on Disney+.
Will and Jaden Smith
Will Smith has been an icon of entertainment for years, going from rapper to actor since 1990 when he landed his star-making role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It wasn't long before he married his wife Jada Pinkett, and had his two children Jaden and Willow.
Will helped jumpstart his son Jaden's career playing his dad in the hit drama The Pursuit of Happyness, and later reunited, again as father and son, in the M. Night Shyamalan sci-fi action film After Earth.
The Pursuit of Happyness is available now on Pluto TV, and After Earth can be streamed on the Starz app.
