BFFs? 'Bridgerton' Star Nicola Coughlan and Kim Kardashian are Our New Favorite Best Friend Duo!
Are Nicola Coughlan and Kim Kardashian secret BFFs?
The incredible and incredibly charming Bridgerton and Derry Girls star, Nicola Coughlan, expresses in multiple interviews her almost-amazement at her own fame. In a recent interview with Bustle, she even recalled that, prior to the release of the worldwide phenomenon Bridgerton, she had been asking people to promote the show.
"The day before the premiere, I went to get my hair done, and I asked my hairdresser if she'd post on her Instagram that my show was coming out, so that some of her clients might watch it...None of us were well known actors. There was no specific reason for me to think people would tune in, you know?"
Of course, the rest is history. It even prompted an unlikely connection between herself and The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian. In 2021, after season one of the show was released to the eyes of the world, Coughlan woke up to an exciting Instagram DM from someone she had never spoken to before.
"I woke up one morning [in 2021] and had a DM from Kim Kardashian...I was like, 'What is going on?' So weird! We talked about Bridgerton."
The conversation between the two did not end with show chat. Coughlan messaged Kim K prior to her Saturday Night Live hosting gig.
"I messaged Kim to say, 'You're gonna do great!' And she said, 'Thanks, I'm really nervous,'...I told her, 'No, you're gonna kill it.'...She's so nice. I'd heard that about her from lots of different people, and I can attest to it now."
The two apparently continue to message from time to time. The Derry Girls icon jokingly added:
"Well, now I'm, like, best friends with Kim Kardashian."
Now we just want to see a hang-out between Nicola Coughlan, Kim Kardashian, and Pete Davidson (and WE WANT TO BE INVITED!)
