The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have officially registered the birth of Prince George and he was given a birth certificate like all other babies in Britain.

According to the birth certificate, Prince George's birth was registered by William at Kensington Palace in front of a Registrar from the Westminster Register Office Friday morning. The document was only signed by Prince William, as only one guardian is required.

William listed the Duchess of Cambridge, as "Princess of the United Kingdom" when writing her job description. He listed his own occupation as "Prince of the United Kingdom.

The Daily Mail reported that while most new parents usually travel to a register office to formally register the birth of their child, Westminster City Council registrar Alison Cathcart travelled to Kensington Palace for the new parents.
