In a last-ditch effort to gain any leverage in her defamation case against ex-husband Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has fired her crisis management team and hired a new one, in the hopes that she can still smooth out her tarnished image in court - or at least prevent any further fallout.

According to People, Heard has moved on from Precision Strategies, who was handling much of the damning evidence about the actress involving her time while married to Depp. It was later reported on by NBC News that she is enlisting the services of The Management Group to take over her case in light of her ex's testimony, much of which has hurt her image immensely.

It is still unclear if Heard will appear in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the sequel to the popular DCEU film Aquaman starring Jason Mamoa, but it has been looking less and less likely that Warner Bros. will want to continue their relationship with the actress, as more embarrassing events have come to light about her behavior Depp in years past - including her causing him to sever a finger during an argument about his drinking, and a somehow more disturbing story where Depp accused her of defecating on his side of their bed while he was out of town.

Unable to get a comment form either crisis management team, People did get a statement from a crisis communications expert to make sense of the situation:

"Depp's team has been on national television and in the court making his case for weeks. Obviously that's going to result in some coverage that I'm sure Amber Heard hasn't liked - but that's just the reality of a situation where the plaintiff gets to go first. To get through crisis situations like these you have to have thick skin, which it seems she does not have by making this change at a very bizarre time when she instead should be going on the offense."

It will be interesting to find Heard's side of this ongoing tale of celebrity love gone awry.

Enstarz will keep you posted as this story further unfolds.
