Old Vic Production of 'Death of a Salesman' Coming to Broadway With Wendell Pierce and Sharon D. Clarke in the Lead Roles
The West End production of Death of a Salesman is making its way to Broadway, and Wendell Pierce and Sharon D. Clarke have been announced as the leads.
The 2019 Old Vic Production of Death of a Salesman is making its way over to the states, and the phenomenal stars that lead the show to success across the pond will be carrying on their journey here. Sharon D. Clarke, who won an Olivier Award for playing Linda Lowman; and Wendell Pierce, who was nominated for an Olivier Award for playing Willy Loman, will be reprising their critically acclaimed roles during the 2022-2023 Broadway season.
The rest of the known cast is also comprised of performing legends. Tony Award winning Hadestown mega-talent Andre De Sheilds will be making his way out of the underworld to play Ben in the upcoming production. De Sheilds is making his departure from Hadestown later this month on May 29th.
The actor is following the departure fellow original Broadway castmate Amber Grey into the exploration of other productions. The former Persephone is now "Living it Up On Top" playing Banquo in the Broadway limited run of Macbeth.
Khris Davis, a talented actor known for his work both on the stage and on the screen, is taking on the role of Biff.
His performing excellence was seen in the incredible film Judas and the Black Messiah and on the smaller screen in the hit series Atlanta. The actor made his Broadway debut in the 2017 production of Lynn Nottage's play Sweat.
We can't wait to see him take his talents to Death of a Salesman in the coming year.
Death of a Salesman will appear in the 2022-2023 Broadway season.
