Was Kim Cattrall blindsided by the "Sex and the City" reboot?

The actress confirmed that she was never asked to be a part of "And Just Like That," and that she was heartbroken over a plotline in the third film that involved her character receiving unwanted and unsolicited pictures of men's manhood from Miranda Hobbes' 14-year-old son Brady, which ultimately led her to turn down the project.

Cattrall told Variety in an interview that she wasn't invited since she made it plain following the probable third film.

However, she, like everyone else, learned about the reboot through social media.

When asked how she felt when she found out about the reboot, Cattrall said, "I was like, "Ooooh. How's..." "How's it going to work?" asked the interviewer.

"You said it, Cattrall," Cattrall responded. "Not for me."

"It's a great wisdom to know when enough is enough," the 65-year-old actress said of her decision not to return to the show.

"I didn't want to jeopardize what the show meant to me." "The path forward appeared to be clear."

Kim Cattrall played publicist and sex addict Samantha Jones on "Sex and the City," and she supposedly snubbed the spin-off due to a long-running rivalry with co-star Sarah Jessica Parker.

Cattrall revealed that she saw the script for the third film and disliked how Samantha's tale would have turned up.

Samantha received unwelcome d-ck images from Miranda's 14-year-old son, which was one of the film's most distressing elements.

"It's devastating," Cattrall stated of the plot.

What Kim Cattrall Expected to See in 'SATC 3'

Kim Cattrall had many desires for her character on the show and in the film.

She told Variety that she would have preferred to see Samantha Jones forced to sell her public relations firm to some random guy in a hoodie as a result of the 2008 financial crisis.

After viewing her character's lack of advancement, Cattrall decided she didn't want to be a part of the third film.

"As difficult as it was and is to stand up and not be intimidated by the press, fans, or anybody - to simply say, 'I'm good.' I'm on the right track. It was a pleasure to collaborate with you. I had a great time, but I have to get back to work."

Cattrall also slammed the new show, alleging that it was based on the same plot as the third film, in which Mr. Big died.
