Teaser Trailer For 'Game of Thrones' Prequel Series 'House of the Dragon' Officially Released: You NEED to Watch It Now!!!
The official teaser trailer for House of the Dragon has officially been released.
House of the Dragon is HBO's highly anticipated Game of Thrones spin-off series: The show begins two hundred years before the trials and tribulations of the original GOT ever began. This series will follow the house of the Targaryen, who ruled at the time.
From having watched Daenerys Targaryen, played by the incredible Emilia Clarke, in the main series, we can be confident that House of the Dragon will be filled to the brim with new magic, mystery, drama, intrigue, and, of course, battles of epic proportions.
The teaser trailer to this epic series has just been released, and it does not disappoint. The short compilation begins with a voiceover asking in hushed tones:
"What is this brief, mortal life without the pursuit of legacy?"
This instantaneous and heavy weight placed on protecting a legacy gives all true GOT stans an instant pull at the ole dramatic-irony heartstring, when we think back to the state that the Targaryens started Game of Thrones in. In this way, House of the Dragon immediately promises to answer the question of how they got there.
We are also excited to see a promisingly female-centric angle on the series - the first forty seconds of the trailer include someone pontificating:
"Men would sooner put the realm to the torch then see a woman ascend the iron throne."
(AGAIN, those dramatic irony feels anyone?)
This incredible series will be premiering on HBO Max on August 20th.
