Musical sensation Kendrick Lamar has released a new single - arriving just before the planned drop of his upcoming album Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.

Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers will be the fifth studio album to be released by the artist. Fans have been counting down the days until the albums scheduled release on this upcoming Friday, May 13th - thankfully for them, Lamar has not left fans waiting with nothing to pass the time.

The song is titled "The Heart Part 5", and it's been released alongside a new music video.

In the music video, Lamar plays more people than just himself. He is seen morphing into various different people, including O.J. Simpson, Kanye West, Jussie Smollett, Kobe Bryant, Will Smith and Nipsey Hussle.

The song and music video have been met with an extremely positive and analytical response from fans; people around the world have been commenting on the poetic imagery of the video.

One fan, for example, tweeted, "Notice how Kendrick Lamar is placed slightly on the left of the video (similar to where The Heart is located in the human body) and his constant bounce representing The Heart beat. ART."

The analyses of this video keep on coming - if you want to dive deep there's plenty more where that came from in the album tag on Twitter.

If there is this much poetry in one song, we can be sure to set our hopes high for this upcoming album.
