Wendy Williams Demands To Meet With Sherri Shepherd Face To Face For THIS Reason
Last year, Sherri Shepherd took over Wendy Williams' show.
Sherri is getting her own program after a successful guest-hosting run on the show, canceling Wendy's.
The 57-year-old embattled host, on the other hand, appears to want to speak with Sherri face to face, as she requests a meeting with her.
Wendy said in a statement to The Sun, "I have loads of support around me and I am working on projects." I'd love the opportunity to speak with Sherri and meet with her."
Additionally, Wendy's lawyer, LaShawn Thomas, confirmed that Wendy had asked to meet with Sherri.
The former DJ's reaction came after an individual close to Sherri told the magazine that she is ready for Wendy to "flip out" once "Sherri" the talk show premieres in September.
According to the source, there have been multiple emergency meetings for Sherri's PR strategy, as well as a special personal meeting with the production crew and agents.
Wendy Williams dropped some shade on Sherri Shepherd's upcoming show, telling Fat Joe that it's "not my thing," and Sherri's agents have begun to brace themselves for an avalanche of criticism from Wendy once Sherri's show premieres.
"I feel that it is difficult to wish a person well, which Sherri did while attempting to health shame them at the same time, especially since Wendy was the one who created multiple platforms that gave Sherri several opportunities, Wendy is an icon and should be respected as such," said the former TV host's representative.
Wendy Williams Podcast
Wendy Williams will not be returning to TV, according to reports, but will instead return to where she first gained prominence - radio.
Insiders informed The Sun that she has had several proposals in the last few months, with one insider speculating that Wendy may chose Spotify or iHeart Radio as her new home.
The former daytime diva apparently sees Joe Rogan obtaining a $100 million podcast contract and now wants the same amount of money.
According to the source, iHeart Radio executives dislike controversy, so Spotify could be her best bet.
"They enjoy the wild cards," they cautioned, "but even at Spotify, they don't give you the money unless you show yourself first, and Wendy wants money upfront."
