To keep up the hype for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's release on May 3, 2023, Disney is unveiling a new Guardians of the Galaxy ride called "Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind."

Marketed as the "first to feature a 360-degree rotation and a reverse-launch on a Disney roller coaster, as well as one of the world's largest fully enclosed coasters," the ride is set to open at Disney World's Epcot on May 27, 2022.

So far, the early reviews are glowing, saying that the ride shouldn't be missed, and that it's the best ride in the whole park. And judging from the photos online, the design looks pretty impressive.

A "storytelling coaster," the ride is an immersive experience that features the Guardians characters throughout, including Chris Pratt's Peter Quill, Zoe Saldaña's Gamora, Dave Bautista's Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel's Groot, and Bradley Cooper's Rocket.

Much like the recently opened Star Wars ride, the pre-ride show seems to be a stand-out, according to reviews.

Interestingly, one word that seems to stand out time after time in reviews is that the ride is "intense." Traditionally, Disney World rides aren't known for being particularly intense. Since the park is geared towards young children, it's not surprising that the rides wouldn't be so thrilling - and Disney is known for having the goal that none of their coasters require you stow your bags off the ride.

The fact that the Guardians ride is being described this way is pretty telling regarding how unique this ride will be. So, roller coaster fans, rejoice!
