Josh Duggar Faces Horrifying Situation Inside Prison Ahead of Sentencing: Source
Josh Duggar is not having the best time at all as he reportedly experienced the most horrifying abuse behind bars.
Duggar hit the rock bottom after his brief popularity as a reality TV star. In the past months, he has been facing sexual-related charges, including the shocking 2015 molestation scandal and his recent pornography addiction.
On top of these, he also got accused of sexually abusing his sisters.
While waiting for his sentencing this month, his neighbor divulged that the disgraced star seemingly experienced horrifying abuse at Washington County Jail in Arkansas.
In a new interview with The Sun (via OK! Magazine), Duggar's neighbor Nicole Burruss claimed that she overheard a phone call between the "19 Kids and Counting" and his wife, Anna, during her visit to their home.
Duggar's wife purportedly said her husband admitted that an inmate had been verbally threatening and abusing him every time he passed by his cell. However, he later assured that the inmate apologized to him afterward as he was impressed by his strength of character.
"This hardened criminal stated that he and the other men knew that Joshua was innocent. As inmates, they recognized that sometimes innocent men are in prison, and they were so stunned by Joshua's character that they were convinced of his innocence," Burruss said.
Josh Duggar Helping People Inside Prison?
Although Duggar suffered from abuse inside the prison, he reportedly took his chance to save a man.
Per Burruss, Nicole mentioned how Duggar evangelized a man he was previously with in the jail cell. The person reportedly "destroyed his [own] life and needed hope," so the husband shared his faith and made the inmate become a Christian.
"When he was released from jail, his wife commented that she had been praying for him for years and was amazed to see what a completely different man he was because of what Josh shared. His alcoholism ceased. He became involved in church. He had peace," Nicole's letter stated.
The emergence of the revelation came weeks before Duggar is set to appear in the sentencing hearing on May 25. The reality star faces up to 40 years in prison.
Duggar allegedly molested five underage girls, including her sisters Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald. He got involved in another scandal in August 2015 when he reportedly created active accounts on Ashley Madison - an online dating service.
