Pete Davidson Gets 'Sopranos' Edie Falco To Play His Mom In Peacock Series
Goddamn, Pete. You did it again.
The IT boy has landed a huge co-star to play non-other than his mom in Bukis, a new sitcom he is starring in for Peacock. The Sopranos' own Edie Falco will be playing Pete Davison's mother in the new series, "loosely based" on the SNL alum's real life.
The live-action comedy is basically a heightened reality of his actually life, mixed with his signature take on the world around him. The showrunner on the project will be collaborator/writer/exec producer Judah Miller from King Of Staten Island along with SNL head Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Erin David as exec producers.
We got a glimpse into Petes Davidson's home life during the COVID pandemic where he would film much of his sketches and musical skits from the basement of his Staten Island home, often starring his mother who would go along with the bit.
Given his present high-profile relationship with Kim Kardashian and every move watched by society in general, it is amazing to watch old SNL bits where he brings his actual mother on, and really witness how down to earth Pete is when away from the constant eye of the public.
Edie Falco has proven to be a formidable co-star, between The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie, so it seems like a safe bet that she will give Pete a run for his money playing Mrs. Davidson.
(The only lingering question is, will Kim pop in for a cameo?)
