Wynonna Judd Announces Final Judd's Tour Will Continue With Several Artists Paying Tribute To Her Late Mother Naomi
It has been a tough month for the Judd family after the tragic death of Naomi, mother of band mate Wynonna and actress Ashley Judd. Though Wynonna has found a way to honor the legacy of her mother by deciding to continue with the final tour they were to perform together.
Wynonna made the decision to take the show on the road, only this time accompanied by special guests who will help to celebrate the life and music of Naomi. She announced the tour at a tribute show in Nashville on Sunday,
"So I made a decision. I thought I'd share it on national television that after a lot of thought, I'm gonna have to honor her and do this tour..."
She added that it would be something her mother would have wanted. Her guests will so far include Faith Hill, Ashley McBryde, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, and Brandi Carlile. Wynonna told fans in a statement,
"I am humbled, once again, by the loyalty of the fans who have been with us for 38-plus years, who continue to show up for me when I need them the most. I am grateful that we will continue to honor the Judds' legacy, together."
The show will end where it all started, with a final performance in Lexington, Kentucky, the home state of the Judds. What a powerful way to memorialize Naomi Judd and the influence her music had on so many.
