After more than half a decade, it seems like Pete Davidson is ready to move forward to another chapter of his career as recent reports claim that the famed comedian will be leaving "Saturday Night Live" soon.

According to a report published by Variety, Kim Kardashian's boyfriend is departing from the weekly comedy show.

However, a representative for NBC has not confirmed whether the information is accurate or not.

As of this writing, Davidson has not publicly commented on the matter.

Per People Magazine, the 28-year-old star joined the show in September 2014. He became the youngest cast member to ever enter the series at the age of 20.

Even though reports about his departure had just come out, the comedian has been hinting about his exit in previous interviews.

Speaking to Charlamagne Tha God in a 2020 interview, Davidson said he had conversations with many people about leaving the cast.

"It's a hard thing to do, because you don't want to ever pull the trigger too early. Everybody's always been like, 'You'll know when you know and it'll all be all right,'" he said at the time.

Davidson added that he's tired of being the butt of the joke of the NBC sketch show, saying he personally thinks he should be done with the show because "they make fun of me on it."

"When I'm not there, they'll be like, 'Ha ha ha, Pete's a f****** jerk-face.' And you're like, 'Whose side are you on?'" he added.

During his early years on the show, he's popularly known for starring in segments like the "Weekend Update," where he deliver his stand-up routines.

He also made accurate impressions of celebrities like Rami Malek and Andrew Cuomo, that became a few of his most iconic moments on the show.

"Saturday Night Live" is also one of the reasons why his romance with girlfriend Kim Kardashian took off as they started dating after the reality star became a guest host.

The pair locked lips during a comedy sketch in which the comedian played Aladdin while the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star played Princess Jasmine.

Kardashian further explained it was a "stage kiss" with a "little zing."

"I really haven't kissed anyone else in 10 years, so maybe I'm just like being stupid and it's just nothing and it's just a stage kiss," she told Amanda Hirsch on the "Not Skinny but Not Fat" podcast.
