Johnny Depp, Courtney Love Secret: Actress Drops Revelation Amid Defamation Trial
Courtney Love became the latest celebrity to offer support for Johnny Depp amid the actor's defamation trial against Amber Heard.
For weeks, Heard's team continuously tried bringing Depp down by highlighting his alcohol and drug abuse during his marriage with the actress. But Love recently shared a different story as the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor became the reason why she is still alive.
In a video shared on her friend's social media account, the 57-year-old actress said that Depp saved her in 1995 when she overdosed outside The Viper Room. She revealed that the actor gave her a cardiopulmonary resuscitation to bring her back to life.
At the time of the incident, she was suffering following the death of her husband, Kurt Cobain.
She added that Depp reached out to her daughter and even wrote a letter for Frances' 13th birthday amid her father's death and mother's addiction battle. Love added that she did not really know Depp when the incident happened.
"Then he sent limos to her school where all the social workers were crawling around, again, unasked, for her and all her friends to go to 'Pirates [of the Caribbean],'" she went on. "He did it a bunch of times. He gave her her own seat [at the premieres] with her name on it."

Love ended the video by proclaiming she was taking Depp's side in the defamation trial. Still, she said that she had empathy for the "Aquaman" star.
She noted that he has been the most hated woman in the US even before TikTok came. As Heard suffers from public condemnation, she expressed how hard it must be for the actress to go through the same thing.
Despite that, she made it clear that she only supports Depp in the legal showdown.
"But if you use a movement for your own personal gain, and you inhabit queer feminist intersectional spaces, and you abuse that moment, then I hope justice gets served whatever it is," she went on.
Johnny Depp is suing Amber Heard over 2018 The Washington Post op-ed she published, in which she claimed that she was a victim of domestic violence. Depp hit back and said that the article damaged his name and career, leading him to lose his roles in several movies.
The defamation trial is expected to end on May 27.
