Kailia Posey Suicide Note: ‘Toddlers & Tiaras’ Star Left THESE Before Her Death
Kailia Posey ensured that her mother would always know she loved her by leaving a heartfelt note and gift before her death.
Earlier this month, the former "Toddlers & Tiaras" star died by suicide at the age of 16. While her family is still having a tough time as they grieve over her passing, her mother shared new details about Posey and how she left a note and gift behind.
In a new exclusive interview with E! News, Posey's mother, Marcy Posey Gatterman, revealed that her late daughter found a blanket on TikTok that she immediately wanted to buy for her. The same special blanket arrived two weeks after Posey's death, leaving the grieving mother more emotional.
She also said that the gift came with a heartfelt note, highlighting her daughter's thoughtfulness before taking her own life as it said: "Dear Mom, even when I'm not close by, I want you to know I love and appreciate you. Always. Wrap yourself up in this and consider it a big hug. I love you."
Although the matriarch found solace in Posey's note and gift, she said that she experienced the worst thing a mother could ever face in her lifetime.
"Parents who have teenagers that have phones, check their phones. And if you're struggling, talk to your parents. They're not judging you. They're going to get you the help that you need, but we need to know what you need in order to get the help you need. Don't keep it inside," she went on.
Kailia Posey Cause of Death
The Daily Mail and The Sun initially shared articles that revealed the potential cause of the young beauty queen's death.
In one post by Daily Mail, the news outlet said that Posey was found dead at Washington state park days after the attending prom. The Washington State Police confirmed the development, saying that the authorities launched an investigation into a possible juvenile death.
The Sun, on the other hand, claimed that the TV star was said to have been involved in a car accident in Las Vegas. While confirming the update, it was eventually discovered that she died in her home state of Washington.
But weeks after Posey's death, the Whatcom County Medical Examiner's Office said in an official news release that she died by suicide. It did not mention Posey's name out of respect to the family.
