In a true moment of corporate synergy, actor Harrison Ford made a surprise appearance yesterday at a Star Wars Celebration to tease his upcoming Indiana Jones 5 movie.

The fifth film in the legendary movie franchise is being produced by Lucasfilm, the same George Lucas-founded production company behind Star Wars.

In a short video captured by The Hollywood Reporter, Ford can be seen appearing onstage at the Anaheim Convention Center. The actor says to the shocked crowd:

"It's a great pleasure to be here."

He adds that he is "really proud of the movie that we made." Behind him, a silhouetted image from the upcoming Indiana Jones 5 movie was shown.

Through the raucous applause and cheers, Ford also didn't forget to acknowledge that composer John Williams had a milestone birthday this past Februrary, saying:

"It's a special honor for me to be able to congratulate John on his 90th birthday. I told John on another occasion that we had the chance to be together, and that music follows me everywhere I go. And you know what, I'm happy about it."

The iconic film composer was onstage to conduct a full orchestra at the time of Ford's surprise appearance.

Contrary to the other films of the series, the yet to be titled fifth Indiana Jones movie will be directed by James Mangold instead of Steven Spielberg.

In addition to Ford, other members of the all-star cast include Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Antonio Banderas.

With the last Indiana Jones entry, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, seen largely as a disappointment, it'll be interesting to see what direction the new director - who also co-wrote the script, along with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth - takes the beloved character next.

Indiana Jones 5 is set to arrive in theaters June 30, 2023.
