The partner of Nick Cave's son, Jethro Lazenby, broke her silence about the model's death for the first time.

Weeks after Lazenby's death, his partner, Danica Dowell, recently sat for an exclusive interview with Daily Mail where she made shocking claims about Cave's son.

Per Conwell, she was not given closure by not inviting her to Lazenby's funeral and wake. The on-and-off girlfriend also insisted that the model did not take his own life as he still made plans to see her on the night of his death.

Instead, she said that Lazenby died due to his heroin use. She also noted that Lazenby was a "vibrant and passionate" person who loved life.

When Cave confirmed his son's death, he did not disclose the cause of death.

"With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away. We would be grateful for family privacy at this time," the "Into My Arms" hitmaker said.

Lazenby's passing occurred after struggling with schizophrenia and substance use disorder. This led to rumors that he claimed his own life, especially since Lazenby's representative previously told The Independent that his mental health issue affected his judgment.

Danica Conwell Suffers "Evil" Rejection

Elsewhere in the interview, Conwell confessed that she is not doing well.

"Unfortunately I wasn't invited to the funeral ... His family won't allow me closure and I really f**king need it," she said. "I'm not doing well with this at all and that's what wakes are for to say goodbye, help closure on the mourning process ... It's evil to deny someone this."

Lazenby was found dead inside the Coburg Motor Inn three-star hotel. He passed away days after being released on bail after confessing that he attacked his mother last month.

A judge ordered him not to contact his mother for two years upon his release from a Melbourne jail. He was also urged to receive substance abuse treatment.

Lazenby was still scheduled to appear before the court on June 29 for his sentencing over several charges, including assault and theft. In 2018, he was also arrested for attacking his girlfriend.

His death happened years after his sibling, Arthur Cave, died. The then-15-year-old faced a tragic incident when he passed after falling off a cliff in Brighton, England. Initial probes said that his death was not suspicious.
