Amber Heard Could Face Jail After All? Lawyer Thinks So Due to THIS
Amber Heard is at risk of spending years inside a prison cell once the defamation trial's ruling finds her guilty.
Initial statements from experts revealed that it was highly unlikely for Heard to be imprisoned as a result of the defamation case.
Depp's supporters want her inside the prison, though, especially after giving her testimony and alleging things the actor reportedly did not do.
However, one of the experts seemingly changed his mind and revealed that the "Aquaman" actress could face jail time.
Amber Heard Could Go To Jail?
Defamation lawyer Aaron Minc recently told JOE that Heard should start worrying about the criminal complications of her testimonies after doctoring evidence.
Minc, who previously said he did not think the actress could face prosecution, changed his mind after the conclusion on Friday.
He explained: "I think that, as this case goes on, and we start seeing more and more objective evidence that she is lying about things under oath, that's when it starts crossing the line into the possibility that she is fabricating evidence, fabricating photos, fabricating bruises, altering evidence and then submitting it."
He detailed that fabricating evidence could be offensive to the country's justice system.
But in the end, it would be up for the prosecutors to decide whether Heard truly fabricated her evidence in pursuit of winning the defamation trial. If they found clear evidence, the actress would then face a criminal prosecutor and jail time.
Amber Heard Edited Her Photos
Minc's statement came after digital forensic expert Bryan Neumeister appeared before the court and analyzed several pictures of Heard which purportedly showed bruising that Depp caused.
He presented three versions of the picture and told the court that they do not match "forensically."
"These photos will not digitally fingerprint with each other. There's no way to authenticate any photo in the way that the evidence was presented. All three of these photos had to go through some type of transformation to change sizes," Neumeister further claimed.
He added that several pictures were rendered in an editing program.
The metadata expert also noted that several pictures were altered, resonating with what Depp's attorney, Camille Vasquez, told the court about the injury photos.
She questioned Heard about whether she edited the photos by enhancing the saturation to make her face look redder. The actress still defended herself and said that she took it separately with different lighting.
But even Depp's supporters found that the two photos were indeed similar and edited.
