A day after the film's release, "Top Gun: Maverick" won Tom Cruise his first-ever $100 million opening weekend.

Not only that, but recent figures show that it has shattered a 15-year-old box office record.

Early projections, per Variety, put "Top Gun: Maverick" in first place with $151 million, while Monday's amended figures put the four-day holiday weekend total at $156 million.

The new figures were huge, surpassing "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," which grossed $153 million during a long weekend in 2007.

"Top Gun: Maverick" follows Tom Cruise as he reprises his role as Pete "Maverick" Mitchell from the famous 1986 film "Top Gun."

Over the weekend, the sequel established another milestone, opening in 4,732 North American theaters, which is considered the largest release in cinematic history - even surpassing the remake of the 2019 film "The Lion King," which opened in 4,725 locations.

However, Tom Cruise has also been discussed on social media.

Aside from his endearing nature, his stunning appearance became a popular topic of debate, with many wondering how and why the "Mission Impossible" actor never seems to age.

Cruise is well-known for taking his health seriously, and there have even been allegations that the action actor is obsessed with his appearance.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Cruise's former manager Eileen Berlin said that if the actor ever went under the knife to preserve his looks, it was only because of how Cruise maintains himself.

"Tommy has created a protective aura around himself. I believe he would go to any length to maintain his young appearance and will battle everything that is in his way."

However, another Huffington Post piece sings a different tune.

According to one publication, Cruise, who was previously married to Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes, favours natural remedies over Botox or surgery.

"Tom does not use Botox or surgery, but he is very interested in all of the latest and trendy natural therapies."

According to the source, Cruise has been experimenting with "nightingale poo facials," which are allegedly $180 per session.

Fans couldn't stop gushing about how amazing the actor looked at 59, with one Twitter user commenting, "Tom Cruise is aging well these days, which is a plus...gotta say, I love his movies. He's like a classic hit for the early 2000s, but gosh he's so fantastic he should do a movie called splinter cell...he'd absolutely crush it...or even rainbow six."

Someone else stated, "Man, this is Tom Cruise again; what else can he do? Even he appears to defy 'aging' norms."

A third individual tweeted, "The new 'Top Gun' film was enjoyable. Also, I need Tom Cruise's anti-aging secrets."
