It's PLATE-gerism: Here's Why Popeyes is Trending on Twitter

Popeyes is trending - and here is why.
Today, Twitter user @ImFrom_Paris tweeted out a picture of a plate full of food, with the text, "Ima be a wife one day cause I be cooking."
Now, the plate of food looks amazing. It honestly makes everyone who looks at it immediately hungry.
It also looks like it came straight from Popeyes.
It especially looks like the number 3 dinner order at Popeyes.
IN FACT, it most certainly IS the number 3 dinner order from Popeyes, but put onto a plate. (A paper plate.)

This is something that the Twittershphere has wasted no time in making sure everybody saw. For a bit, many tried to maintain the benefit of the doubt for the OP, commenting that the food looked "just like" that from the fast food chain. However, as more people saw the plate and agreed that was what it looked like, it became impossible to ignore that that's probably...exactly what happened.
The platform itself is trying to maintain mystery, describing the very trending topic on their Explore page by saying, "Some people are seeing similarities between Popeyes food and a plate of food in a viral tweet."
This twitter user said it best herself:
LMAO. Not "some people are seeing similarities."

EVERYONE KNOWS IT'S POPEYES. pic.twitter.com/CJtsLH7n7Z
Several people have opinions on the issue. Many are seeking to point out to the OP that this is *obviously* from Popeyes, while others just want to know...why?
And of all the restauraunt foods to try to pass off as your own, why pick one with such a well-known aesthetic?

We love the internet, where you get to play detective for no reason and never learn the motive for the lie in the first place.
