He's a creature of few words, but they mean so much; Maybe that's why the world fell in love with the many iterations of the MCU's talking tree, Groot, since he made a name for himself in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

When we first met him, he was full-grown (pun intended), but after saving his friends from certain doom in the first Guardians film, Groot was forced to start life again as an adorable sapling, who was affectionately nicknamed Baby Groot. Now a teenager at the end of Vol. 2, Disney+'s new animated series I Am Groot is giving audiences a glimpse of how Groot went from childhood to teen.

To get fans excited for the show, they have put up a new poster on Twitter, and it looks better than we could have imagined.

This one shot features baby Groot front and center, lounging out on a pretend beach, a giant tropical drink beside him, listening to a giant walkman. Beside Groot are two strange little multi-eyed aliens, who we have not yet been introduced to in the GOTG canon as of yet.

Returning as the titular character is the gravel-voiced Vin Diesel, a man with the easiest acting job in history when it comes to playing Groot, while writer/director James Gunn will be executive producing the series.

I Am Groot will be streaming on Disney+ on August 10th, but you can see him and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy when they make a cameo in Marvel's Thor: Love and Thunder when it hits theaters on July 8th.
