Summer is just around the corner, which means that BroadwayCon is just around the corner! The popular New York City Broadway celebration has just announced their lineup for Summer 2022.

BroadwayCon is going to be held this year, from July 8th to July 10th at both the Manhattan Center and the New Yorker Hotel, where the brightest shows of this Broadway season are going to be featured.

It has been officially announced that A Strange Loop, POTUS, Chicago, Dear Evan Hansen, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Six: The Musical, and Beetlejuice have confirmed their attendance for the popular event.

In light of the pandemic, this is the first time that BroadwayCon has been able to set up shop again after a two year hiatus. The CEO of Mischief Management and organizer of the convention, Melissa Anelli, expressed her excitement, saying:

"After nearly two and a half years, we're so excited to come together again. The joy and creativity of this community is unlike anything else and we can't wait to welcome everyone back for another BroadwayCon."

Due to the live and interactive nature of stage performance, Broadway was certainly one of the areas hit the hardest by pandemic closures. It is therefore an optimistic - and thrilling - sign that this convention is back and life on stage seems to have returned to a state of relative normalcy.

This schedule announcement also comes right before the 2022 Tony Awards. A Strange Loop, which is being featured at the convention, has the most nominations overall, entering this Sunday night's awards with eleven nominations.

We will have to wait and see if the number of nominations winds up being indicative of the number of wins, but we are excited to do so!
