See The Family Resemblance? Emily Hampshire and Maddie Ziegler to Play Mother-Daughter Duo In Coming-of-Age Film 'Bloody Hell'
Maddie Ziegler and Emily Hampshire are set to star together in a new film titled Bloody Hell.
Maddie Ziegler and Emily Hampshire both came to fame in their own right.
We watched Maddie Ziegler grow up on the hit television series Dance Moms. She was one of the main breakout stars of the show, appearing in movies and music videos.
She seemlessly seemed to transition from reality TV star to real entertainment professional. The world came to know Emily Hampshire through the hit television sereis Schitt's Creek. In the show's short run, it became well known for it's comedy and compassion- a framework that Hampshire herself very much contributed to.
These two stars are coming from their two seperate worlds and are now set to join each other in a new film, titled Bloody Hell.
According to an exclusive on Deadline, Bloody Hell is a 'traumady.' This coming-of-age story follows Lidy, a sixteen year old played by Ziegler, who plans to have sex but is instead diagnosed with a reproductive condition.
She must learn to navigate this, and her relationship with her mother who will be played by Hampshire.
This is a semi-autobiographical story, written by Molly McGlynn. The project has been many years in the making.
McGlynn shared:
"It took me several years to scrape together the courage to write this script...I knew Maddie was the perfect person to capture the nuance and complexity of this confusing, emotionally overwhelming and in hindsight, absurd, time in my adolescent life."
We can't wait to see Bloody Hell when it hits the big screen.
