ONE CUT GEM: Adam Sandler Tells Jimmy Fallon The Hilarious Story Of How He Hurt His Eye
If Adam Sandler got into a fight with bed sheets, who do you think would win? Well, we now have the answer.
The Uncut Gems actor went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night and appeared on the talk show with what seemed to be a newly heeled gash under his eye. Naturally, Jimmy Fallon asked what happened. Sandler began his tale saying, "I had an accident everybody. Everything's all right, but I wish it was a good story. It's pathetic."
However, we here at Enstarz very much believe that it is a good story.
Sandler found himself tucked very tightly underneath the sheets of a well-made bed with his phone lying right next to him. He recounted:
"So I'm in the bed, it's four in the morning, and I forgot to untuck it. I'm going, 'Why is it so uncomfortable here?' And I'm feeling squished, and I have my phone- my phone is next to me here in the bed. I always, on the phone, check out my net worth before I go to sleep, you know?"
Fallon and Sandler share a laugh at this point. However, the story quickly takes a far more gory and dramatic turn.
"So, anyways, I, for real, I started getting panicky, and I kicked my legs. It's like, 'g**d*** bed,' and voom- and the phone flies in the air and hits me in the face."
Did Sandler immediately address the clearly pressing medical concern? Nah. Instead he shared:
"Anyways, I was bleeding terribly, I mean, it was pitch black in the room, and I feel - and I feel a wetness, and I go, 'Yes,' and I trick myself, I go, 'Those are probably just thick tears.' Cause I really was so tired."
Of course, he woke up in the morning to find blood all over his bed and his eye still bleeding. He rounded out the story saying:
"I said, 'I gotta get this fixed,' so I went to the Apple Store."
We are glad that Sandler is okay, but, we need him to know, that is an EPIC story.
