Queen Elizabeth II Sides With Prince Andrew Amid Reports Prince William Gave Them An Ultimatum
The Archbishop of Canterbury addressed Prince Andrew's sexual abuse lawsuit earlier this month, encouraging the public to be more "open and forgiving" since he was attempting to "make atonement" for the matter.
The crowd was stunned, but according to a Star magazine (via OK magazine) insider, Queen Elizabeth II pushed Justin Welby to utter such comments publicly.
According to the source, "The Queen guards Andrew and feels he is innocent. She hopes that following the sex scandal, he would gradually be rehabilitated."
However, this has yet to occur because the Duke of York has been removed of his patronages and has been barred from attending royal ceremonies other than accompanying the Queen to Prince Philip's funeral in March.
Prince Andrew was also allegedly barred from attending much of the Platinum Jubilee events earlier this month, however he was set to take part in the National Thanksgiving Service.
Unfortunately, Buckingham Palace issued a statement before to the ceremony stating that he will not be attending due to acquiring COVID-19.
According to the same source, he was barred from attending the Queen's private celebration by Prince Charles and Prince William.
"His comeback attempt is very certainly doomed. He is insane if he believes Charles or William will ever release him. The Queen is the only person who has ever supported Andrew."
According to another source who spoke to Mirror, Prince Andrew went out of his way to spend more time with Queen Elizabeth II.
"Andrew is doing everything he can to make apologies for the embarrassment he imposed on his family as a result of his involvement in such a controversy."
"He wants to make it up to the Queen, which is why he is doing all he can to visit her as frequently as possible," they continued.
Prince William Ultimatum
Meanwhile, Prince William is said to have vowed not to attend any royal function if Prince Andrew was also there.
If the Duke of York made a public reappearance, the Duke of Cambridge stated he would withdraw from the Order of the Garter ceremony on Sunday.
His involvement showed that Prince Andrew's return to public life is exceedingly improbable.
According to an informant who spoke to Evening Standard, the future king was "adamant" and stated that if Prince Andrew participated publicly, "he would withdraw."
