Amber Heard Offers 'Absurd' Message to Johnny Depp While Trying To Damage Him
Johnny Depp's supporters cannot believe Amber Heard's recent "absurd" message to the actor.
Heard continuously shared her thoughts in her exclusive interview with Savannah Guthrie on the "TODAY" show. After the first part on Tuesday, viewers watched the continuation of the discussion on Wednesday.
Unfortunately for the actress, the public found her more unbelievable after offering an "absurd" comment about the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star.
In Wednesday's preview of the NBC News special, Heard confessed that she still loves Depp despite accusing him of abusing her.
"Absolutely. I love him. I loved him with all my heart," she told Savannah Guthrie. "I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work and I couldn't. I have no bad feelings or ill will toward him at all."
However, Depp's fans refused to buy it and condemned her instead for continuously using the actor.
Later in the interview, she claimed she still feels fearful that her ex-husband might sue her again.
Her "TODAY" statement resonated with what she posted on Instagram before the defamation trial started.
On Twitter, Heard said that Depp still holds a part of her, and it made their legal battles painful.
Amber Heard Offers Contradicting Statements
Although the jury already found her guilty of writing her Washington Post op-ed with malice, she stood still and told Guthrie that the article was not about Depp.
"What the op-ed was about was me loaning my voice to a bigger cultural conversation that we were having at the time," she said, referring to the #MeToo Movement.
For what it's worth, she accidentally admitted during her cross-examination by Camille Vasquez that she wrote the op-ed for The Washington Post to see and prove that many people would support Depp despite her allegations.
This caused Depp's lawyer to gain people's hearts again as she managed to make Heard admit to her mistakes during the cross-examination.
Heard, at the same time, told Guthrie that she is not a good and perfect victim. But she purportedly decided to stand up for herself against Depp.
The actress is expected to share more about the trial in a special "Dateline" show on June 17.
