30 Minutes In, The Chicks Stop Show In Indianapolis After 'Vocal Issues'
The popular Grammy Award winning country music group The Chicks didn't quite put on the show fans were expecting on Sunday.
They unexpectedly ended their performance at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indianapolis, after only 30-minutes, as reported on by WTHR.
The trio were unfortunately forced to abandon the concert after only five songs. They later released a statement on Twitter, saying the concert had to end due to "vocal issues."
"Indianapolis, we are so sorry we could not give you the show you deserved OR the show we wanted to give you. We will be back Indianapolis!! Hold onto your tickets. Ticket holders will be contacted by the official point of purchase with further information. We love you Indianapolis."
A fan was quick to post footage of the show as it came to an abrupt close. In this clip you can see band member Natalie Maines rubbing her throat before apologizing, saying,
"I just can't pull it off."
Concert goers seemed pretty understanding of the situation, sending well wishes to Maines,
On Monday, The Chicks explained the situation further, saying they had to cancel even more shows "as a result of strict doctor's orders for vocal rest." Whatever is going on with Maines' voice, it seems to be more serious then she initially expected.
The tweet also included a list of postponements and reschedules for future shows. It has also been announced that all tickets for the canceled show will be accepted at the rescheduled times.
We would like to wish Natalie Maines a speedy recovery and all the best. Get well soon.
