Brad Pitt Reveals Future of Career, Retirement Envisioned Already?
Is it the end of the line for Brad Pitt in Hollywood?
In an interview with GQ magazine, the "Ad Astra" star confessed he is already on the "last leg" of his acting career.
He revealed what's ahead in his life, saying, "I consider myself on my last leg, this last semester or trimester."
The 58-year-old veteran actor, who starred in movies like "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood," "World War Z," and "Fight Club," went on to ask, "What is this section going to be? And how do I wanna design that?"
Brad Pitt has been acting for more than 30 years.
"I just want always to make. If I'm not making, I'm dying in some way."
Though Pitt has not yet retired from acting, he has quit from one life-changing activity.
He claimed he is attempting to enhance his health and had decided to quit smoking during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.
The father of six stated he tried to quit smoking many cigarettes each day at first. Nonetheless, it subsequently made him understand that he would have to stop it altogether in order to enjoy its long-term favorable benefits.
Pitt added, "I don't have that ability to do just one or two a day. It's not in my makeup. I'm all in. And I'm going to drive into the ground. I've lost my privileges."
Meanwhile, Pitt also spilled tea on attending Alcoholics Anonymous after his high-profile divorce from ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
The "Tomb Raider" star filed for divorce in 2016.
Pitt considered himself fortunate to have encountered a men's club that was "very quiet and exclusive" and judged it safe for him to join. He stated that he did not want to be like Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was caught on camera spilling their fillings at what was intended to be a private meeting.
But, above all, Brad Pitt is on a spiritual journey, committing to meaningful connections, contemplating life's existential predicaments, and listening to personal tales shared by others.
The former husband of Jennifer Aniston concluded, "I always felt very alone in my life, alone growing up as a kid, alone even out here, and it's not till recently that I have had a greater embrace of my friends and family."
"When you carry real pain and joy simultaneously, this is maturity, this is growth."
