FX Dropped the Season 4 Trailer For 'What We Do In The Shadows' And It Looks Bloody Great
F***ing Guillermo! The Season 4 trailer has dropped for the hit FX spin-off series What We Do In the Shadows, and it could not have come soon enough.
For those not in the know, the show was created by Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Concords) and is produced by Taika Waititi (Thor: Love and Thunder), who also starred in the original film of which this is based on. It tells the story of a group of vampires who live in Staten Island, which they have failed to rule over, only to find themselves constantly bumbling through the modern world.
It stars Kayvan Novak (Archer), Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén (Reacher), Mark Proksch (The Office), and Matt Berry (The IT Crowd) who are all comedic gold in the series.
The trailer gives you glimpses into the ridiculousness of what's to come. The new season finds them all where we left off. Lazlo (Berry) has decided to raise Craig Robinson (Proksch), an energy vampire who died at the end of the last season only to be reborn as a child.
Nadja (Demetriou), Lazlo's wife, is trying her hand at becoming a nightclub owner in order to raise her status in the vampire community by luring humans in to feed, while Nandor (Novak) is still looking for the perfect woman to replace the many wives he had when he was human back in in 1299 when he was a leader of troops in the Ottoman Empire.
Hysterically irreverent, What We Do In The Shadows is a great balance of high brow comedy mixed with a crassness that delivers in every line of dialogue. You can watch Season 4 on FX beginning on July 12.
