Hailey Bieber Lawsuit: Model’s Latest Venture Faces Copyright Infringement
Hailey Bieber had just launched her latest business venture called "Rhode," a skincare line named after her middle name. However, despite the early success, the supermodel is already receiving backlash as another brand filed a lawsuit.
According to WIBX 106.9 FM, Justin Bieber's wife's brand started selling its products on June 15. Within 48 hours of going live, most products have already sold out.
In an Instagram post, Rhode explained the skincare essentials line, saying they curated the products with "thoughtful intention."
"We spent years working on our formulas with our skin board of dermatologists and chemists to make sure that every Rhode product restores, protects and nurtures your skin," they wrote.
Writing about the formulas they offer, the brand noted that every product uses "high-quality performance ingredients" to be efficient.
The entire collection is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, and could be purchased for under $30. Consumers could also use products that don't have any scents.
Bieber's brand also aims for a better environment through sustainability as the packaging is made from zero-waste baskets.

A few days after the launch, another brand spoke out, saying they had filed a lawsuit against the model's brand for copying their name.
The only difference is that the brand primarily sells clothing and has dressed celebrities like Rihanna and Beyonce.
In a statement on social media, the fashion line said they were forced to file a lawsuit to protect their brand despite not wanting to make any move.
"We don't want to sue Hailey; we want to celebrate her. As fellow women entrepreneurs, we wish her every success," they clarified.
However, they noted that the model could choose any brand for her collection, and they only have the brand name "RHODE" that they built nine years ago.
They concluded the post by saying they're confident about the outcome and hope the YouTube star will understand the harm she never meant to cause.
According to legal documents, which were filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York last week, obtained by People Magazine, owners Purna Khatau and Phoebe Vickers launched the brand in 2013.
They own the trademark for "RHODE" under the category of clothing, accessories, and more.
