Brian Laundrie Letter Offers More Mystery Than Answers After THIS Was Revealed
The questions surrounding Brian Laundrie's murder of his girlfriend, Gabby Petito, have been answered.
But the mystery of what Laundrie's parents knew about their son and his participation in Petito's death persists, as do doubts about whether the family should be punished in connection with her heinous murder.
According to Radar Online, the speculation grew after it was revealed that Laundrie's mother, Roberta, penned an alarming phrase in a letter to her son.
Attorney Patrick Riley, who represents Gabby Petito's family, alleged that after killing Petito, Laundrie's mother promised to help him in a hidden letter.
They said on NewsNation that even Laundrie's lawyer, Steven Bertolino, was startled that such a letter existed.
"Roberta Laundrie has offered to help her son in that letter. It's an intriguing and unusual letter."
The letter is purportedly in the hands of Petito's family lawyer, who is suing the Laundries for alleged mental anguish because the Laundrie family allegedly knew their daughter was dead but neglected to divulge the location.
Riley went on to explain that the letter may be useful in proving their claim.
The mail was apparently discovered in Petito's vehicle, which the pair had used to travel across the nation.
"There's no date on the letter," Petito's lawyer claimed, "but it looks to have been written between the time Gabby was murdered and Brian committed himself."
"Here are several situations suggested by Roberta, such as 'if you go to jail, I'll bake a cake with a knife or saw in it."
"My understanding is that the letter was once in the vehicle, but it was seized from the Laundrie residence during the time when the search warrant was conducted," he continued.
Roberta reportedly scrawled "burn after you read this" on the outside of the envelope.
Chris and Roberta Laundrie have flatly refuted the charges, even claiming that it was not their responsibility to come out.
The Laundries have currently requested a Florida judge to dismiss the civil lawsuit, but the world is still waiting for the decision.
More information about the letter was not disclosed, but it prompted concerns about whether Chris and Roberta Laundrie knew their son murdered Gabby Petito and if the parents should have informed authorities about her location while they searched for her.
