'Thor: Love And Thunder' Star Chris Hemsworth Tells Of An ABBA Dance Number Which Was Deleted From The Final Film
With the news of the world hitting dumpster fire status at an alarming rate, it's the beautiful little diamonds in the rough that keep us moving forward. And with Thor: Love and Thunder just a little over a week away from hitting theaters worldwide, leave it to actor Chris Hemsworth to be the leader in making the world smile again.
In a recent sit down with film critic Kevin McCarthy, he made mention of the one thing sorely lacking in the recent Thor movies - a dance number. Now, don't get your hopes up just yet, but this was an idea which was filmed and deleted from the final cut of Thor: Love and Thunder.
According to Hemsworth:
"There was...to an ABBA song...but it didn't make the movie for a few reasons. But we need to release it at some point, don't worry. It's a full dance scene. It's a full dance-off shooting lightning out his finger tips and so on. [Laughs]"
This is something we can all get behind. I mean, think back to the grand year of 2014, where fans were first introduced to Star-Lord as he moved and grooved his way to the Redbone classic "Come and Get Your Love" during the opening title crawl, only to later use his signature moves to help defeat Ronan in an impromptu dance off.
Now, imagine The God of Thunder laying down some sweet moves on the battlefield. To ABBA no less. Hell, Star-Lord is even in the new flick, so could we be seeing a true MCU dance off when the deleted scene is finally unearthed at some point? Man, I hope so.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be hitting theaters on July 8.
