Broadway Star Ryan McCartan Returns to 'Frozen' for the North American Tour
Ryan McCartan is returning to Frozen once again.
Ryan McCartan is a beloved figure on both the screen and stage. As a young actor, we saw him on the Disney Channel Original series Liv & Maddie alongside superstar actor and singer Dove Cameron (Who has gone through a very empowering and decided re-brand very recently!)
He played Fiyero in the long-running Broadway show Wicked. He originated the role of JD in the Off-Broadway run of Heathers: The Musical! He also originated the role of Hans in the Broadway production of Frozen.
Apparently, the star still has not gotten enough of Arendelle; He has once again joined the tour of the show to perform the same part.
The multi-talented performer has officially been cast in current tour of Frozen, once again as Hans. He is replacing the currently playing Austin Colby.
McCartan will join the tour officially on July 12th; He will then travel and perform with the cast of the North American tour until his final curtain call on September 4th.
The Broadway run of Frozen closed with the shut-down that came in light of the pandemic. While many shows managed to tread water during the time when ghostlights were on all over Broadway, Frozen was not among them. The show announced in May of 2020 that they would not be resuming performances once the world reopened.
While it is sad that the show left, we are glad that there will still be performances of this excellent musical, both in London and in this North American Tour.
