Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem reportedly named their newborn daughter Luna Encinas Cruz, according to the Spanish magazine Vanitatis.

The publication stated that the couple registered their baby's name at the Madrid registrar office on July 30. The baby's first name means moon in Spanish and "Encinas" is Bardem's paternal last name.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star gave birth to the little girl on July 22, the same day the royal baby was born. This is the second child for the couple, who has been married since July 2010. The pair welcomed a son named Leo Encinas Cruz in January of 2011.

"It is a revolutionary experience," the actress told Vogue in 2011, in regards to giving birth. "That's the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment-when you see that face, you are transformed forever."

Cruz and her husband, who she first met at the age of 17 on the set of Jamón Jamón, are adamant about sheltering their children from the limelight.

"I want my son-and my kids if I have more-to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as possible," she also told the magazine prior to conceiving her second child. "The fact that his father and I have chosen to do the work that we do doesn't give anybody the right to invade our privacy."

After giving birth, the 39-year-old actress has now put her professional obligations second to her family.

"Maybe I'll make one movie a year, maybe two, but it's not going to be more than that because I have other priorities now," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2012.

Cruz and Bardem, 44, will both play in The Counselor, which premieres in theaters on Nov. 15, 2013. The thriller also stars Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz and Rosie Perez.
