Johnny Depp Traumatized? Greg Ellis Reveals Actor's Plan in His Future Works
Johnny Depp is seemingly traumatized as an actor after losing everything because of Amber Heard.
After years of waiting, Depp finally reclaimed his glory and started his way back to the music and film industry. He managed to do so after his recent defamation trial win against his ex-wife.
His longtime friend, Greg Ellis, recently disclosed the possible changes with regard to Depp's future works.
In an interview with Fox News, the 54-year-old actor revealed that the people around Depp would be "very selective" about who he would work with.
He set the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise as an example. Per Ellis, "there's no Pirates of the Caribbean without Jack Sparrow."
"To bring the old crew back together - and it would be kind of the icing on the cake, wouldn't it? - to have Jack Sparrow return triumphantly? Maybe they could tie in something. Maybe the opening scene is a court of law. Him stumbling out of a court of law being successful? I don't know. With papers in his hand. Who knows?" he continuously said.
For what it's worth, the actor was hit with a rumor that he received a $301 million deal from the Mouse House as the company tried to cast him again. Pop Topic reported that Disney would offer him more if he agreed to play Captain Jack Sparrow's role again.
However, it is not the case as his spokesperson told Radar Online that Depp has no plans to wear Captain Jack Sparrow's costume again.
Johnny Depp Is Now in Happy Place
With or without "Pirates of the Caribbean," Ellis assured the fans that Depp is "in good spirits" and "the weight of the world has been lifted off his shoulders."
According to the actor, his friend is now focusing on his music and movie career. But Depp also hopes to restore his film career soon and enjoy a resurgence.
"His career has been his everything over the years. He loves music but acting is his life. He couldn't sit around and do nothing about the fact that his career was being affected. He thinks the verdict was fair. It feels like a win to him. He very much hopes that he can revive his career," the insider told PEOPLE.
Last month, the "Edward Scissorhands" star was already spotted in Paris as he prepared to film French filmmaker Maïwenn's upcoming project. He was tapped to play the role of King Louis XV.
