New Apple TV+ Series 'Black Bird' Based on True Story Ready to Fly Tomorrow
Black Bird is getting ready to premiere on Apple TV+ tomorrow.
As they have proven time and time again, Apple TV+ only produces smash-hit products. From Ted Lasso to CODA, the streaming service has proven that they are much like a new and exciting Lay's potato chip flavor: they do not fail. Such is shaping up to be the case with the new series Black Bird, which is preparing for its premiere on the service tomorrow. This new series, starring the incredible Taron Eagerton, follows a true story, and we are sure it will have everyone on the edge of their seats.
It seems that 2022 is the year of adapting true crime stories to the screen. Each has proven a captivating success in its own right. Black Bird seems as if it will be no different. According to the official description from Apple TV+, the show chronicles the thrilling story:
"When high school football hero and decorated policeman's son Jimmy Keene (Taron Egerton) is sentenced to 10 years in a minimum security prison, he is given the choice of a lifetime - enter a maximum-security prison for the criminally insane and befriend suspected serial killer Larry Hall (Paul Walter Hauser), or stay where he is and serve his full sentence with no possibility of parole.
"Keene quickly realizes his only way out is to elicit a confession and find out where the bodies of several young girls are buried before Hall's appeal goes through. But is this suspected killer telling the truth? Or is it just another tale from a serial liar? This dramatic and captivating story subverts the crime genre by enlisting the help of the very people put behind bars to solve its mysteries."
We can't wait to watch Black Bird when it comes out on Apple TV+ tomorrow, July 8th.
