If you watched Marvel's Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ last year then you'll remember Captain America's pseudo-replacement-turned-heel, U.S. Agent, aka John Walker - played by Wyatt Russell, son of fellow MCU alum Kurt Russell.

Many have wondered what might be next for the character since the show, and with Phase 4 in full swing, we might just have the answer.

In a recent interview with Collider, Russell discussed how Marvel is great at keeping secrets, especially when it comes to what's to come.

"No, you never know. They do a really good job of keeping it secret. It's part of the allure. You always hope that you can come back and you hope that you'll get the phone call. If I pick up the phone and it's Marvel on the other end of the line, you're like, 'All right, cool. Let's go to work.'"

He continued,

"As for the Marvel secret training camp, that was two and a half years ago, or almost three years ago now, that we like actually shot [The Falcon and the Winter Soldier]. All of the training and everything that I'd done, if I do get the phone call, it'll take a lot of runway to get back in shape like that.

"I've lost every ounce of muscle and physique that I had, but that's the fun part. Honestly, that was a big part of taking the role, as well."

Last we saw of U.S. Agent, he was being recruited by Julia Louis-Dreyfuss' character Val, who also appeared in the stinger for Black Widow. She was putting together a group of heroes, including Yelena Belova played by Florence Pugh.

Since then, it has been speculated that she is putting together a new team called The Thunderbolts, a younger Avengers-type crew.

With only a handful of new recruits on the roster for future MCU projects - Ms. Marvel, Blade, Black Knight, She-Hulk, and what have you - it is going to be interesting to see how Kevin Fiege is going to flesh out a team as perfect as the original.
