Heather Kovar was reportedly suspended following a shocking broadcast.

During a live broadcast over the weekend, the TV news anchor slurred her words and seemed disheveled.

The CBS 6 anchor appeared wide-eyed, nervous, and at times unintelligible, according to the New York Post.

"And so, moving on tonight," Kovar said as she shifted parts, "is we have to tell you also, you know, like other news that's occurring in the neighborhood, and throughout the area, and in the nation."

Kovar also began to fumble on her words when recounting an explosion at a natural-gas facility.

During the broadcast, she also abruptly shifted the subject, saying, "Like, I was telling you this morning, if you saw us this morning starting at 6 am, 7 am, I told you, you know what?"

"What a lovely day it is outside today! It's incredible. As a result, it's a fantastic season for outdoor music."

Kovar was also spotted clutching a wire during one point during the broadcast and was subsequently cut off from speaking mid-sentence because of technical difficulties.

Heather Kovar's broadcast was, predictably, extensively shared on social media, with some viewers expressing concern about her.

One Twitter user wishes Kovar well since she "looks like a disaster."

Some are even concerned that she may have a medical problem.

Heather Kovar Resigns Following Suspension

After being suspended by WRGB CBS 6 pending an investigation, Mike Sington revealed on his Twitter page that Heather Kovar has resigned from her position effective July 31.

She was said to have blamed her performance on tiredness.

"I was slated to work the early morning 6 a.m. and evening hours," Kovar explained. I was weary and sleep-deprived."

There have also been rumors of a hostile work environment, as well as drinking, playing a factor in her on-air conduct over the weekend.

Sington wrote, "She had posted her work schedule on Twitter, and it's insane. It doesn't even give her the SAG-AFTRA guaranteed minimum turnaround time of 10 hours from Saturday to Sunday. A former producer tells me there's a toxic work culture at WRGB CBS 6 Albany."

According to a show producer, Kovar was known to turn up for weekend shifts inebriated - but it wasn't as awful as her most recent tenure.

Heather Kovar has also recently returned from leave, when she cared for her father prior to his death. "The station has generously allowed me to take some time off to be with my family in Texas," she said on Facebook in May.

Her father died the same month.
