R. Kelly Fiancée Pleads With Judge In Emotional Letter Sent Before Sentencing
R. Kelly still has supporters, including his longtime girlfriend and fiancée, Joycelyn Savage, despite the shocking crimes he did.
Before the disgraced singer was sentenced to 30 years in jail, she allegedly penned an impassioned letter to the judge.
The letter, acquired by Radar Online, was handed to the court by the 26-year-old.
Savage represented herself as Kelly's fiancé2 in the letter and stated she wrote it to "help" her soon-to-be husband in the sentencing process and "so I can explain to the court that I'm not the victim that the government has portrayed me to be."
She even called her connection with Kelly "wonderful" and said that "he's the finest thing that's ever happened to me."
Savage stated that he and Kelly have a "really special connection" and that they are "truly in love."
"I still support Robert because I adore him and will always be there for him. Robert is not the monster that the government has painted him to be."
Kelly, according to Savage, was "extremely nice, kind, and kind," as well as "positive, extroverted, and very generous."
She begged the judge not to throw the book at her fiancé.
However, the letter she gave to the judge did not persuade him that R. Kelly deserved 30 years in prison for his actions.

Before his arrest in 2020, Savage and another former Kelly partner, Azriel Clary, were frequently at his side.
The two ladies even sat down for an interview with Gayle King, where they supported the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer.
Clary ultimately broke free and returned to her parents' house. She has subsequently spoken out about the alleged abuse she underwent at the hands of the R&B artist, and she has publicly stated her desire for Savage to be released.
However, Savage has stayed with Kelly despite two indictments in different jurisdictions where he has been accused of sexually assaulting women for years.
Robert Sylvester Kelly was convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking in 2021.
Prosecutors alleged Kelly and his cohorts orchestrated a conspiracy to recruit young and underage women for the "Laundromat" singer to groom and abuse.
He did, however, deny forcing them to engage in sexual activity.
Victims also spoke in court about what transpired and what Kelly did to them. Unfortunately, the victims' testimony has not persuaded Savage.
