‘Black Mirror’ Season 6 Cast Unveiled: Anthology Series Returning on Netflix Soon
Good news for "Black Mirror" fans! The hit anthology series is set to release its sixth season soon and viewers should expect new faces that would join the iconic Netflix show.
According to Variety, the highly-anticipated season is currently filming and believed to be in production.
Insiders revealed to the outlet the upcoming cast which includes Paapa Essiedu, Zazie Beetz, Aaron Paul, Josh Harnett, Danny Ramirez, Kate Mara, Auden Thornton, Clara Rugaard, and Anjana Vasan.
The names mentioned above will star in three different episodes of the show, but the outlet clarified that fans should expect more actors to join the lineup.
The casting update comes a few months after the outlet confirmed that the new season of the anthology drama series was in the works.
As of this writing, there is still no information about the background or plot of each episode, but the upcoming season will have more episodes than the previous one.
Season 5 only had three episodes titled "Striking Vipers," "Smithereens," and "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too" starring Miley Cyrus, Nicole Beharie, Pom Klementieff, Topher Grace, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and more.
Series creator Charlie Brooker previously said in an interview that the reason why the previous season only had three episodes was because of the film "Bandersnatch."

The "choose-your-own-path" Netflix movie was written after the first episode was filmed.
"And then we thought, 'Well, we've got these other episodes as well, they feel like they complement each other. We could make people wait forever while we do some more, or we could release these fairly quickly after 'Bandersnatch,'" he said. (via The Wrap)
"Black Mirror" has launched many actors into stardom over its past seasons.
The outlet noted a few memorable performances from its previous cast members like "The End of the F****** World" star Alex Lawther who played a teenager that was forced into committing crimes by a hacker.
Mackenzie Davis and Gugu Mbatha-Raw played a couple in an artificial intelligence-powered world called "San Junipero."
Other notable roles were played by Joe Cole and Georgina Campbell on "Hang the Dj," Cristin Milioti in "USS Callister" and many more.
Despite its success, there was an issue surrounding the show's rights with Endemol Shine. Fortunately, the problem was immediately solved after a deal that allowed Banijay Group to license the series to Netflix.
Initially, the first two seasons, both had three memorable episodes, aired in the United Kingdom under Channel 4 before it transitioned to the online streaming platform.
As of this writing, Netflix has not confirmed whether the cast mentioned above would appear in the upcoming season.
