The official trailer for the upcoming film 13: The Musical is finally here, and we could not be more excited.

It certainly seems like every musical is making its way to the film screen. It now seems that musicals about children and young teens seem to be particularly in the limelight. Just recently, the trailer for the highly anticipated film adaptation of Matilda: The Musical was released. Now, musical theater kids everywhere are excited to watch the official trailer for 13: The Musical which was released today.

13: The Musical was composed by Jason Robert Brown. The show came to Broadway back in 2007. It was a show that was made up entirely of teenagers. Legends including Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillis actually got their start in the show. The iconic composer took to Twitter today writing, "I started writing '13' back in 2003. Nineteen years later, here's the first trailer for our movie on @Netflix." Nearly twenty years later, 13: The Musical is getting its moment on the Netflix screen.

The cast of the upcoming film adaptation is similarly sensationally talented to that of the original Broadway cast. The film will be led by Eli Golden as Evan Golden. Other members of this teenage cast include Gabriella Uhl, JD McCrary, Frankie McNellis, Lindsey Blackwell, Jonathan Lengel, Ramon Reed, Nolen Dubuc, Luke Islam, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Kayleigh Cerezo, Willow Moss, Liam Wignall, and Khiyla Aynne

13: The Musical will be coming to Netflix on August 12th. We can't to watch the mastery of Jason Robert Brown on the screen again.
