MTV announced Monday that Kanye West will perform at the 2013 Video Music Awards at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

West is only the second artist to be named as a performer at this year's show, following the announcement that Lady Gaga will take the stage at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. West will perform his smash hit Black Skinheads off his latest album Yeezus. It will be West's seventh performance at the show, which will tie him with Madonna for the most VMA performances in history.

West first took the stage at the VMAs in 2004 performing several singles off his debut album The College Dropout, including Jesus Walks, All Falls Down and Through the Wire.

The last time he rocked the crowd at the Video Music Awards show was in 2011 when he was joined by Jay Z to perform their smash hit Otis, off the Watch the Throne album. To celebrate 'Ye's announcement of his VMA performance, MTV Jams and MTV Hits will both run an hour-long video block dedicated to the G.O.O.D. Music head.

West allegedly missed the 2012 show because his girlfriend Kim Kardashian wasn't able to attend, according to Mail Online. Kardashian had a prior engagement at Fashion's Night Out in New York, where she promoted her True Reflection perfume at Lord & Taylor.
