Lori Loughlin made her first emotional television appearance since the college admissions scandal.

Loughlin appeared on the "Lead with Love 3" telethon over the weekend to promote her work with the Project Angel Food charity in Los Angeles.

"It's a community, it's a family, and all the folks that work here are just so beautiful," the former "Full House" actress says. They had embraced me with wide arms when I was extremely depressed and shattered."

"That's how I found a home here, and that's what I feel like they did for me," the 57-year-old actress remarked. That is why I am so glad to be here and to be a part of this organization. It's a community because they care."

Lori Loughlin has stated that her endeavor is "more than just" feeding people and that she considers a community of assisting and loving people to be more vital.

Meanwhile, an insider told Page Sixthat despite having completed her 100 hours of community service last year, the actress continued to serve with the group.

They said she volunteers weekly, making deliveries, and they believe she is no longer doing it for the show.

However, the insider noted that while Loughlin does not publicize her charity work, she does make it a point to attend frequently.

Lori Loughlin's volunteering is "a part of who she is," she says, since she "truly enjoys this work."

Lori Loughlin also permitted cameras to accompany her for a "day in the life" of volunteering, explaining that she had been helping pack meals through the initiative for more than a year.

She admitted to using the same delivery route and meeting the same folks once a week.

The blonde bombshell also stated that she enjoys making relationships with people and values her life because some are unable to leave their houses, but she can.

The program also included a woman walking behind Loughlin who praised the group while hugging the actress.

The woman stated that she had not eaten anything, but due to Project Angel Food, she is happy and healthy since they send food and cover all of the requirements.

Lori Loughlin's non-actor TV appearance comes just one month after she made her first red carpet appearancesince the college admissions scandal.
