'Murderer' OJ Simpson Blasted After Defending Ruling on Deshaun Watson's Suspension
OJ Simpson shared his opinion about the ruling on Deshaun Watson's suspension, and people are not happy about it.
On Monday, disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson ruled that Watson would be in a six-game suspension without pay following accusations of sexual misconduct. However, it was also noted that they would not be fined after violating NFL's personal conduct police.
In her 16-page report, she disclosed that the NFL suggested the player to be suspended for the entire 2022 regular season and postseason.
Following the ruling, Simpson commented on the issue and said that everybody should respect the judge's decision.
In a video message he shared on Twitter, he started by mentioning the death of Bill Russell. He then touched on the recent ruling on Watson's case.
"She looked at it and came out with a decision. Hey man, that's it. That should be it. People are saying 'why would he settle if he was innocent?' Hey look guys, he's not gonna change anybody's mind no matter what he does. He can't change my mind," he said.
Simpson added that the girls tried to make money out of the athlete although he became out of line with some of them.
For what it's worth, the NFL quarterback received sexual assault charges filed by two women. The victims filed the lawsuits in Harris County, Texas, which were represented by Tony Buzbee. The National Football League's spokesman told CNN that they were aware of the reports. However, they refused to comment further on the issue.
The first lawsuit against Watson stated that an unnamed licensed massage therapist alleged that he touched her with his private part. This reportedly occurred while he was receiving the massage at the therapist's home in March 2020. The victim then alleged that the NFL star availed the massage in hopes of having sexual activity.
OJ Simpson Condemned After Recent Comment
After sharing his thoughts, Simpson has been criticized instead as people brought back the murder case of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman.
The two suffered multiple stab wounds on Jun. 12, 1994. The authorities found their bodies outside the American model's home in Los Angeles, California, and they put his ex-husband as the number one suspect.
Simpson was in the area the evening when the murder happened but immediately took a late flight to Chicago later that night.
After returning to Los Angeles the next day, he underwent questioning but was not immediately arrested. Only in 1994 when the prosecutors ordered him to surrender.
The trial lasted for almost nine months until the court found him "not guilty" in October 1995.
